Why the title "Sweet Lid"?

The idea for the name of my blog came from a childhood saying.  We are first generation German immigrants. Often after a meal, my brothers and I would ask  for a "süsser Deckel", which means "sweet lid" as a direct translation.  I enjoy baking, cooking and pretty much love being in the kitchen.  In my next life I plan on being a chef, in this life I just play around.
